  • Lisa Gaffney Obviously this station has strong ties to the pit community or receives financial backing. What a disservice to the community. When someone is mauled or killed as a result, thus station will have blood on its hands.

  • Lesley Karen Luscombe Ah yes, the usual crapola. A SELECTION of dogs from DIFFERENT BREEDS, with claims of attacks spreading over SEVERAL YEARS. Unlike Pibble, that causes consistent devastating injuries in any one particular week, month or year. What fools.

  • Jeffrey Sloan Any living thing can cause harm under certain circumstances. They're attacking a straw man. We've never said that only pit bulls can bite. But if you look at the sheer numbers, and especially the fatal and disfiguring attacks, one thing that jumps out at you is that, among all types of dogs, pit bulls are obscenely over-represented in the amount of suffering they inflict day in and day out - precisely as they were designed to do.

  • Amber A Maclin I think the station is just trying to raise awareness not to under estimate a dog and what it's capable of.

  • Jennie Conway They really need to learn the difference between a bite and a mauling! Seriously people get your heads out of your ass! People are being killed.

  • Laurie Anne #1 Obviously, the people who write these stupid stories don't know jack about dogs, or they would be skeptical about claims made by certain breed advocates that all dogs are the same, and none are worse than others. #2 The idiots who write these articles have not really dug into the stories. That little chihuahua may have been a jerk and even sent someone to the hospital for stitches, but that is a world of difference from a molosser who rips off limbs, tears off faces, and kill. Which leads to #3, Isn't it JUST ADORABLE that little LITTLE CHIHUAHUA is the troublemaker, whereas the Rottweiler, etc etc is so laid back? I hear this crap all the time. It's so cute that when the new pit bull goes near the food bowl of the maltese, that the maltese barks and tried to bite it! HA HA HA! Just goes to show that pit bulls are actually gentle angels and the source of all the world's problems are actually little dogs! The Huffington Post went as far as to say that EVERYTHING that we thought we knew about pit bulls is FALSE. Imagine that!! All those bad stories were made up! Seriously - they believe anything negative about wigglebutts are lies? Yup - this is what passes as journalism these days.

  • Dawn Dalyce there is a difference between a nip from a nasty little chihuahua and having your limbs and face removed by a pit bull !!! MORONS who are trying to distract people from the truth are LIABLE for pit bull attacks!

  • Marty Johncox What's "serious injury"? Loss of fingers or limbs? Scalping? Disemboweling? Those horrific injuries are a product of physical power and game spirit. Heel nipping, not so much.
