Isabella Marie October 27 at 11:26am more harassing

I SOO wish you guys could see the debate going on I'm involved in. It's in a service dog group ( I have a service dog). Someone posted about looking for a Cane Corso breeder/puppies for a service dog. Naturally, I chimed in with how they should never be service dogs, and of course, shit blew up. Everyone in the group was bitching and moaning and throwing every personal attack and name calling they could, some using the old Chihuahua and nanny dog argument. But now it's like out of control with stupidity of these idiots! This is some of the screen shots;

  • Ryan McCabe Why are you looking at inmate information?
  • Joseph Cacace How does someone not feel like a complete idiot comparing anything about a 8 pound chihuahua to a 40-80 pound pit bull lol It's so ridiculous....
  • Renee Rosati Isabella Marie just start posting pics of what it looks like to get ripped open by a pit and don't say nothing directly to their comments it makes them freak then leave the convo... It leaves them burning up but gets the message out and leaves it in their stupid brains
  • Brenda Carr You're obviously more intelligent then most of them Isabella Marie
  • Renee Rosati Little dog bite
  • Renee Rosati Fighting breed mauling
  • Renee Rosati So shouldn't be service pets
  • Isabella Marie One of them threatened me that if I posted any screen shots with her comments (which I did), I'd better have a good attorney. Hahahahaha, shakin in my boots
  • Fataah Ewe' I feel ya. Is it because of a bad economy that everybody thinks they can be a magical dog trainer? Dog trainers seem to be able to turn dogs' ears into silk purses & back again. If a corso comes into a waiting room where I am, I am outa there, pit too. People only fantasize they have trained their dogs. Look at any obedience trial. Lots don't even manage to Q in their exercises. And you certainly see few pits, corsos or tosas --verrry rare.
  • AJ Ravinsky Hi Isabella Marie ! (Isabella is someone I have known for several years; she was fighting the pit battle before I was!)
  • James Hassinger did chrissy say any dog of any breed can be a service dog? I thought service dogs were bred specifically be be service dogs, otherwise why look for a service dog breeder?
  • Joanna McGinn James: REAL service dogs ARE bred for the work. Canine Companions for Independence is one of the absolute best and they are probably the best advocate for BREEDING... remember that.... Pits are and were BRED for FIGHTING and destruction. REAL service dogs and their organizations have special breeding programs that breed for the traits of being able to discern situations that need their 'jobs' like opening doors, turning on lights or other assistive devices, to help dress a client, fetch dropped articles like pen/pencils, getting crutches is surprisingly one of the most difficult tasks to teach and get them to master. The puppies are assigned to TRAINED puppy raisers... yes, those families that volunteer to endure the puppy antics and to channel them into the 'pre-behaviors' that the organizations wants takes hours of dedicated work. Then they come back to the organization to be trained and matched with clients' needs.
  • Marie McGrath Isabella, what page?
  • Nicole Marie cane corsos are worse than pits in some ways
  • Lisa Gaffney Disheartening - just shows they all feel entitled to exploit service dogs without a care in the world for anyone else. What else is new?
  • Justice Smith There's a Cane Corso breeder located near Albuquerque, NM who was training his dogs in attack work and now is training in search and rescue..... I shall not get lost in the woods anytime soon....
  • Lisa Gaffney ^ your odds at survival are better hoping you'll be discovered by someone just wandering by
  • Marc Brown Cane Corsos (so-called) are pit bull - mastiff mixes. They're worse than pit bulls because they weigh four times as much and are even more unstable. They were supposed to attack humans -- so the cane corso nutcases can't even claim they're 'only' supposed to be animal aggressive.
  • Marc Brown Here's the real breed description, not at all the same as kennel club advertising.

  • Isabella Marie Canes and Presas are both more dangerous than Pits, though when I speak about Pit Bulls, I include Presa Canarios and Cane Corsos in that Bully goup.
  • Marc Brown Yes, they are pit bull type dogs, just like any pit bull mix is.
