Jaime Brunkan October 20 at 11:51pm SEXIST TOO???

Again...WHY? If they're not different from every other 'breed'?

  • Susan DeVilder I thought pit bulls couldn't be identified. So I suggest everyone take their mutts, their yorkies and other breeds and say, "hey, it's a pit bull." When they say, "that's not a pit bull." accuse them of being racist.
  • Nicole Marie plus "a pit bull isn't a breed" right?
  • Carol Miller I would LOVE to see people take their dogs in for free care and insisting that their dog is "a pit mix."
  • AJ Ravinsky One thing I don't understand: why do pit advocates insist the pit bull is not a breed? How do they stand to benefit from that?
  • Gini Barrett ARLB - one of the worst sellout orgs.
  • Julie Edwards-Matanga Any pit bull having it's puppy making equipment being removed is a good thing!
  • Tricia Malone Exactly. Why are they so singled out then? They did this in Kansas City awhile back, a whole 2% of pit bull owners showed up and they were confused as to why no one took advantage of it. Smh.
  • Beth Kehoe I'm also glad about any opportunity to get them spayed/neutered. But I understand Jaime Brunkan's premise--if they're just like every other dog, why should they get special privileges?
  • Joanna McGinn becaue there are more irresponsible people owning these dogs than any other kind
  • James Hassinger 2014 government study says pit bulls more dangerous than all other breeds

"CONCLUSIONS: The patients most likely to suffer dog bite injuries of the head and neck are children. Although a number of dog breeds were identified, the largest group were pit bull terriers, whose resultant injuries were more severe and resulted from unprovoked, unknown dogs. More severe injuries required a greater number of interventions, a greater number of inpatient physicians, and more outpatient follow-up encounters. Healthcare utilization and costs associated with dog bites warrant further investigation."

  • Joseph Cacace Now...Will the government do anything about what their study shows?
  • Marie McGrath Many are determind to keep the breed going , therefore s/n isn't an option.
  • Rose Solesky The power of money and rich Women!!!
  • Rose Solesky Am I wrong is it not mostly women that are potecting this breed. Do these woman have children or are these dogs their children. Just asking!!!
  • Harve Morgan Both Rose. And yes you see many women defending pits and they expose their own children. Look at the 'photo ops' like on the Huff Puff. They had children and pits doing what we tell people not to allow children to do with dogs, any dogs. One picture the Huff Puff posted was a child with the pit that killed him a couple of months after the picture was taken. But the picture was put up on the Huff Puff and we caught them. Pit bull mothers regularly have their own children doing exactly what everyone says not to do with a dog, and especially with a pit bull.
