Bogey you and your inadequate choices killed your son, oh and FYI  the dogs involved in this incident were "boxer" mixes check the vet reports, the dogs suddenly became pitbulls after the attack and the babysitter was never charged.

Trying to blame pitbull owners for your inept advocacy style is a bit of a stretch to say the least, BSL is falling down for a number of reasons the least of which is pitbull advocates.

It's wombles like these that are bringing down BSL you see your average everyday person can tell a fanatic when they see one and we all know FANATICs are far more dangerous then any breed of dog could ever be and fortunately for the dogs you all are fanatics and that's what the average person see's you all as?

You've had to lump 20 or more breeds/types of dogs together called them pitbulls and then had Merritless clefton create some supportive statistics all gathered from media reports and without an ounce of support from the dog community in general as is the case with BSL, not one legitimate org supports BSL, why you ask, it doesn't stop DBRF's , it kills pitbulls and the death toll steadily grows and despite all the dead pitbulls children still die and at an ever increasing rate because all dogs do can and have killed humans.....

The pit bull that killed our dog was "rescued" from dog fighting up north, had a so-called behaviour evaluation done by "experts" at the Humane Society in Whitehorse (although they have no report to show), then put in a "remedial" dog-walking program -- where he was so much fun his new owners brought him down to Vancouver, to a quiet safe West Side neighbourhood of seniors, small children and little dogs. He didn't waste one minute attacking us.

Shelter Pit Bulls don't seem to be able to reintegrate back into society after being initially dumped for behavioral problems. Hmmm, maybe it is not the owner after all.

No other breed needs all this hoopla to live safely and permanently as welcomed furry family members in our communities.

  Helga Joubert Four of them came back to the shelter, but how many of them were killed either by being humanely euthanized or put down by their owners or a neighbor for their behavior? I bet there are a few of those too, but that's not being tracked.

  Julie Wall I notice that at my local no kill shelter. I have seen some pit bulls come back 3 times . These dogs are listed as 'only child' code word for dog aggressive and no children. Recently 3 Pits Bulls have disappeared off their list of adoptable animals and they are not listed on the adopted list either. SMH
