AJ Ravinsky So, Pitsmart does NOT allow pits in their doggy camps? So, they want to protect other dogs, but not humans (since they still let them into their stores.) Not only for my own pets but also for our rescue, I found online places to get our pet supplies since I won't go to Pitsmart and Pitco anymore. Its a win-win for us, since online is often cheaper and free shipping!

For the safety of all animals and associates, and at the discretion of PetSmart, some pets may not be permitted.

Fataah Ewe' Kind of encouraging that they get glares when they go out wi their pits. Sort of like people feel when you walk in a restaurant with your AK47. "Is he/she nuts?" And of course if that's your bestust friend in the whole world, you might be!

Dusty Brown I'm with you Jackie, if they support the "un"science of kissing and hugging the genetics out of an animal, any animal, it gives little creedance to any messages they present. Have they promoted the moon is made of cheese and the world is flat lately? Why not? Scientifically proven wrong? They can't take that stance, can they. You don't get to pick and choose parts of science to believe in, it is base in facts, experiements, and peer reviewed studies of the physical and natural world. Heck, even the Pope has spoken out in support of science stating that "The “Big Bang” and evolution are not only consistent with biblical teachings, (Pope Francis told a Vatican gathering )– they are essential to understanding God". There is no middle road here.

Harve Morgan IMO, the Petsmart statement is a good message to give to officials. Many of them can identify/relate to Petsmart. They could be a customer, adopted their pet there. We need to look closely at including that statement in our rhetoric to these officials.

Joanna McGinn Actually, I'd feel a lot better with someone walking in a restaurant with an AK-47 because if someone was going to walk in and start and issue, I'd have a better chance and 2) the AK-47 isn't going to go off without a 'trigger' like PBs do....

AJ Ravinsky I use various online sites for pet supplies, and since I don't have a dog or cat but small animals, I actually can get much better deals, discounts, and free shipping since their products often don't weigh as much (guinea pig hay is only heavy when you get a LOT of it, for example.)
