These land sharks need to be wiped off the face of the earth. I read a comment once by a person who had grown up in Kenya who said pit bulls were more dangerous than any wild animal in Africa. In the US, it has gotten to the point where it is no longer safe for people to go to their mailboxes, step outside their front doors to pick up a paper, take a walk in their neighborhood, wait at a bus stop, or even for children to play in their own backyards. It isn't even safe inside the house or in a motor vehicle because pit bulls have been know to tear through screens to get inside houses and jump through open widows of vehicles to attack. Just last spring, a pit bull in Florida jumped through the open window of an SUV and attacked two toddlers, age 5 and 3. People need to contact their state and local elected officials and demand these monsters be banned!
it is over 400 years of breeding to attack without provocation or warning and to stay on the attack until the target is dead/ SADLY, there are enough Pit/Pit mixes that can live without having this deliberate genetic trait showing up. If there were a 'marker' like an extra dew claw or a type of marking on the face that denoted the more risky individual dogs, this trait could be eliminated. It is the very reality that most are nice dogs that engenders the trust that they ALL are that way, which is simply NOT the reality as an average of 80 attacks each month that are reported can attest.... and the severity of those attacks which are far above all other kinds of dogs and thus makes them unsuitable to in a community. Jason Fraser Renee Jackson • 7 hours ago There is every reason to ban pit bulls because they aren't normal dogs, but maulers created for the specific purpose of fighting and killing other pit bulls. Yes, there are many large breeds with the "potential" to be dangerous, but pit bulls have the "propensity" to be dangerous. The Cane Corso, Dogo Argentino, etc. are pit bull-type dogs and the, along with mastiffs and other over-sized dogs should be banned along with pit bulls. Although these other dogs are dangerous and have been known to kill, they are not as dangerous as a pit. The basic survival instinct has been bred out of pit bulls so they will continue fighting to the death, even when it is obvious they are beaten. This is what makes dog-fighting "fun" for people who are into that sort of thing.Pit bull bans have worked in all cities, counties, etc. where the ban is enforced. Cincinnati had a pit bull ban in effect for several years and it worked, but as soon as the city council repealed the ban, the carnage returned and a 6-year-old girl was so viciously attacked by two pit bulls her tongue was ripped out, her eye was crushed and her face had to be surgically reattached. A few weeks later, a pit bull murdered a 59-year-old woman in Cincinnati.

Yet, when communities beg for restrictions on these dogs, these sociopaths cry 'discrimination' (which actually is only a term for HUMANS!) and bring their noisy hatred of any restrictions and consequences to the city council and the councils and legislatures have caved.THe reality is that you will never rid a community of these dogs as there are plenty of sociopaths that will always refuse to follow norms and laws and will continue to breed and spread this kind of dog as far and wide as they can. Tese people can nothing for the welfare and safety of their fellow humans. They focus only on their own desires and demands and are incapable of being normal members of a community.The only hope is legislation that gives heavy sanctions to the ownership and when a PB attacks, they must pay the full consequences and include in that with what assault and battery charges would bring. Just because the instrument of the mayhem has four legs instead of two. should not excuse the owner. They should have to have insurance in the minimum amount of $500,000.00. Failure to maintain this insurance would mean immediate seizure and destruction of the offending dog. That will be a clear and telling event as to how much they 'love' these dangerous dogs. The 2nd offense and you lose the right to have a dog for 10 years. We can't drive without insurance, what is so strange about insisting insurance for a dangerous dog?IF YOU'RE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG YOU LEASH IT AT ALL TIMES.
