Bill Justice Cryspel-Always coming up with stories to try and make this type of mutant look good

Then Ace ate the boy, right?
Man’s best friend: A pit bull named Ace is being hailed as a hero today after rescuing his deaf teenage owner from a house fire in Indiana. http://tinyurl.com/qeoxd5o

  • Cindy M Ballard Yea? Well my little poodles made pancakes for me this morning.
  • Kendall Vibbert The Beast save him because it wanted to Eat him later.
  • Gail L Rosbach Bulls**t!, All dogs have a survival instinct. They don't want to die in a fire. They all wake owners if there is a fire
  • Anthony Michael Ridge all dogs alert when there is fire, this is stupid
  • James Hassinger This happened in July but pit bulls have killed another 15 people since then. Another breed would have saved the boy too but another breed would not have killed those 15 people. Ban the breed prevent the deed.
  • Myranya Werlemann Cross-posted from the video comments: "I thought he wanted to go out back or something" -apparently the dog was stuck in the house, they didn't have a doggy door. And of course the dog wanted to go out when the fire started. I'm glad it turned out well for both, but this only proves the dog knew waking the boy was a way to get out of the house when he needed to, whether it was to pee or to escape the fire. Heroic would be if the dog did have a way to get out, or even was outside in the backyard and went into the house to wake the boy. Animals (including pits, possibly?) have done that... I remember for sure a story of a mother cat going in and out of a burning house repeatedly to rescue her kittens... but that wasn't the case here, no way to tell if the dog would have alerted the boy if it had not needed a human to open the back door.
  • Raechel Celeste Smith I'm shocked Fox News posted this. Bill O'Reilly and I actually agree on one thing--and that's Pit Bulls. He hates them and has expressed his hate for them numerous times on air. I wonder how this story slipped onto their line up. Looks like they have jumped on the Pit-wagon for monetary gain.
  • Bill Justice Cryspel Any animal is going to make a lot of racket if their life is in danger. Of course it will wake up someone. It doesn't say anything about the Pit throwing the kid on his back and dashing out of the window because the hallway was ablaze, Idiots! I am glad the boy wasn't killed but to call an animal a hero for wanting to save his own hide is way way out of there  Always coming up with stories to try and make this type of mutant look good when in fact it is simply an unpredictable animal that can be a danger to anyone around them.
  • Lorena McGovern If it had attacked the boy, they would say it was a "dog" not a pit bull, and the breed would not have mattered.
  • Lisa McClaughry Funny how nobody is arguing what breed it is when something good happens.
  • Greg Kuhn This dog is a hero! He saved a young boy's life! Give him a medal. Give him a ribbon. Have a parade for him!!
  • Bill Justice Cryspel Greg, are you serious dude? How about, "keep him/her away from mine!" (Hero?) for saving his own butt. Your intellect is set to believe that this mutated mutt actually intended to save this child's life isn't it? Pathetic. No wonder we are having more and more attacks from deemed dangerous dogs. You morons are the ones letting it happen.

  • Greg Kuhn "nutter"?. 'Moron'?. 'ignorant fool'? Why so hostile? Bill, did you read the story? Maybe read it again. The dog licked the boys face, waking him up so he would not burn to death in the house fire. No, I don't really want a parade. Lighten up a little, both of you. You might enjoy life a little better.

  • Bill Justice Cryspel Is that what the dog said it did Greg? Or are we just going by what another nutter said it did? All nutters are out to protect the Pit Bull reputation at all costs and lies. Do you have proof the Pit actually did lick him to wake him up? Any video feeds? You know, I hate calling anyone names but when it comes to these mutants with the way they are harming people and other pets so constant and without regret, "wags their tails as they do their terror" and then more of you wanting to give them a second chance? For what? To do it again! You people deserve everything you get. Get yourself a pet that "THE TYPE HAS NO HISTORY OF KILLING OR MAIMING" then you will be a more productive and welcomed member of a Society that wants to live in peace without the fear of walking outside and being attacked by deemed dangerous dogs like these Pit Bull type mutants. (Before you come up with something about fear, fear is a self-defensive mechanism we all have within us). Stop being an accessory to all the murders that they commit. If you truly don't think that is what you are doing then you need to take a deeper look into this subject. Ask yourself, why are they continuing to keep attacking? Because they can, and they can because you and others like you are keeping them in homes and as pets to do it. I can't explain it any clearer than that.

  • Lorena McGovern @Greg Kuhn. Funny how you nutters want to parade around the pit bulls that happen to do something good once in a great while, but when pit bulls eat kids faces off you either 1) run and hide; 2) attack and blame victims; 3) say that the breed doesn't matter or that it isn't really a pit bull; 4) never actually help victims in any way.

  • Bill Justice Cryspel They would be perfectly fine confined in cages like Lions and Tigers. That way they would not go extinct, no more children will be maimed or killed and no more people will have to live in fear, besides the ones watching over them in the cages of course. I am sure they will all be targets and make the wrong move or set them off with some sort of trigger that will cause them to attack them, but they should all be educated on what this type of animal can do before any of them try to take on such a dangerous job.

  • Raechel Celeste Smith The dog licked the boy's face because the dog was scared. Every mammal instinctively interprets strong smoke and flames as danger. The dog was freaking out and wanted the comfort of his nearby human. The actual "saving" stories are of ones when the dog gently picks up/saves someone and drags that someone to safety, like a dog was noted for doing to an abandoned baby. All this Pit had to do was bark once, and automatically it was deemed a "hero". I could already hear the Mother in this case post-fire: "Son, what did the dog do again?" "Well, I smelled smoke and was halfway asleep, and he was licking my face. It was like he wanted me to get up or something." Mom: "OMG! The public will love this! It's like he saved you by licking you!" *dials her local news station with excitement*

  • Mike Hammer David Forbes, you are a complete and utter fool. A dog wanting to escape a burning home and needed his owner to help do it isn't a hero. Had the dog been outside and then entered to home to retrieve the owner because the home was on fire, that'd be a hero dog. For all anyone else knows, that dog just had to take a shit because it got scared with the house on fire. The little boy understood his actions to be like every other time it wanted to go outside.

This dog right here is a prime example of what a dog hero is ...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zi1fgOB4u6o

  • Marty Johncox That's not a pitbull. Looks lilke a labrador. But we'd need a genetic test to be sure.

  • Sonya Del Rio Cerezo Yet look at the picture they showed...looks like he's ready to get at somebody. And I find it convenient that they say he "rescued" her....uh, any dog would do the same, they know their owner will most likely show them the way out.
So pitbull saves 1 but kills 26....yeah, that's a reason to keep them around!

  • Sonya Del Rio Cerezo Exactly Marty Johncox, if it had mauled, the nutters would say it is not a pitbull, & we need a test. But the minute it (rarely) saves a life...it's a pitbull for sure....

  • Greg Kuhn Lorena - I'm not a 'nutter'. I don't have a Pit Bull. I never had a Pit Bull. Have you seen some of my other posts here? I'm not hiding anywhere when there's a pit attack story. I keep it real. The dog here licked the kids face, which woke him. Then they both got out safely. Is it so hard for any of you to give credit where credit is due?

  • Lorena McGovern Credit is not really due. The dog doesn't care anyway.

  • Greg Kuhn I see Bill Justice Cyrspel, you think this is just a made up story, huh? Do you have proof he *didn’t* lick the boy’s face? Did you have a video feed for this?? “accessory to all the murders that they commit.” “these Pit Bull type mutants”. Seriously? How would me owning a Pit Bull make me an accessory to a ‘murder’ some one else’s Pit Bull caused? Millions and millions of Pit Bulls have ZERO history of killing or maiming. Why are you condemning a whole group of dogs because of the actions of a small percentage of them ?
I know why fly off the handle and resort to name calling. Because you’re insecure about your position. Deep down inside you know your hate and predujudice is wrong but you can’t help yourself. You’ve inundated yourself with all the fear mongering and media Sensationalism. Look what you wrote up there. Hell, you even have a hard time putting a rational thought together!

  • Julia Lewis Greg, too many pit bulls kill or maim. The point is that although there are many "nice" pit bulls, if they do attack, then all hell is let loose. People are badly mauled and killed. It's their POTENTIAL to do serious harm that concerns us in this group.
